Over 1,300 pounds of marijuana was seized at two different stops in Cochise county Wednesday according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Michael Florez, 25, of Phoenix, was stopped in his 1996 Toyota Camry while driving westbound on Interstate 10.

DPS found that Florez's license was suspended.

The officer then seized the 97 pounds of marijuana from the trunk of the car.

Florez was arrested on possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.

Officers later found 1,222 pounds of marijuana under the flatbed of a truck after being pulled over for unsafe lane use.

The occupants of the truck fled from the scene while talking to the DPS offers, and have not been found.
