Officials with the Pima County Sheriff's Department issued an advisory to area residents concerning using chains or 4x4 equipped vehicles if traveling on Mt Lemmon Highway.

The advisory is just a precuationary measure for any vehicles traveling above milepost 10.

A cold front is pushing through the Western United States bringing winter temperatures to the normally mild temperatures in the desert southwest.

As of Tuesday night, no snow had fallen in the area, but snow showers were showing on the radar near Flagstaff and Payson Arizona.
