TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona State University officials say the school is offering counseling services for those who may have known a student who took his life Monday.
Campus police say a graduate student fatally shot himself in a professor's office just before noon Monday.
Police say the student was apparently talking with a professor when he pulled out a gun and shot himself once in the architecture Design South Building on ASU's main campus in Tempe.
ASU spokeswoman Julie Newberg says counselors will be available to students, faculty and staff. ASU officials said the Design South building was closed Monday but set to reopen on Tuesday.
