LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Financial details are still be working out between Lake Havasu City and former City Manager Richard Kaffenberger.
City Human Resources representative Shirlee Palbicki said the office has three days from the date of termination to evaluate the contract terms and come up with the final payment.
The amount of the contract will determine how much the city owes Kaffenberger after the council fired him during a special meeting Tuesday.
City Finance Director Gayle Whittle previously said the amount would have been paid regardless of the firing and that the council would still be required to determine a contract for an interim city manager.
The council will discuss candidates for an interim city manager during its regular meeting Oct. 27 during executive session.
