Tucson man arrested for stealing credit cards and an urn

TEMPE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A Tucson man is in jail after burglarizing a home in Tempe, Arizona in June in which he stole the victims credit cards and an urn with her husband's ashes.

According to police the burglar and another man used the victims credit cards and were caught on a surveillance camera. An officer recognized the man and they arrested 49 year-old Anthony Edward Jessup Sr after stopping him for a traffic violation in Mesa.

Detectives located the urn containing the ashes and will return it to the woman on Monday. Jessup was booked into the Tempe City Jail on 8 counts of forgery, 8 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of theft of a credit card, and one count of taking the identity of another.
