Monsoon storm brings rain and wind to Tucson

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - An afternoon monsoon thunderstorm has dumped rain and produced strong outflow winds across Pima County.
Rain started falling in the Tucson area after 3 p.m. , lightning was seen lighting up the sky.
Rural Metro Fire Department communications were disrupted due to the weather. A spokesperson simply stated the storm had caused some issues at the communications center and they would provide more details shortly.
The storm earlier in the afternoon moved through Santa Cruz County along I-19 and is centered now near Marana & Oro Valley.
